really, really crappy friday

Yes,that is my car. I got hit (completely NOT my fault) by a kid at school who apparantly cannot drive. I would tell you who it was, but I don't drop names (*cough, Tyler Crow, cough*).

Here's how it happened . . . I was driving down center st. (our main street) coming from the high school at about 8:30 in the morning to go get some coffee. I make it about half way through an intersection and BAM! My car fish tails into the other lane and I just barely miss being crushed by a Tahoe coming at me head on. So I floor it to get out of the way and drive to the side of the road in the ditch-type area. I get out and go to the other side to look at the damage . . . then I start laughing because there is nothing else to do.

This pic was taken in downtown Little Rock during the literary festival. I watched some band called Crisis (I think). Nothing worthy of a link.

Yeah I'm fine. The day of and the day after I had a really sore neck and a headache from whiplash. I went to the doctor and got a massage from Lauren.

We got the estimates yesterday too. It's going to cost about $4,500 to get it fixed and the car is worth about $3,800, so it's a definite possible new car. We're just waiting for the insurance guy to come take pictures to finalize the report and say that it is totaled.

If anyone knows about car damage....that's me. As long as it's not your fault, then that's all that matters.

Yeah I remember your posts on that. But still, it sucks being in limbo (hitching rides, canceling plans sometimes, etc.)
