Neither of the movies I wanted to see came out this weekend in AR (Across the Universe and Into the Wild). This fucking state blows.

So instead last night I had a few beers, and 3 shots of cheap tequila while I watched Varsity Blues and Love, Ludlow.


As soon as I can find it, I'm going to buy Ludlow. One of my new favorite movies. You feel like you know the characters because they are portrayed so well. The dialogue is uncanny. The characters seem so common and ordinary, but at the same time, very . . . um . . . quirky. Really, I don't know how to describe it. Just watch it. Then you'll understand.


And in further disappointing news:
I didn't go apartment hunting. Both of the people I was suppose to go with had really bad hangovers. So I bought new jeans instead.

Last night hkd and i rocked out with our cocks out at the WE ARE SCIENTISTS show. good shit. she doubted my judgement at first, but when she heard them play she understood the full potenial of my powers. they were really funny too, but the bassist shaved his pornstar 'stache (as can be seen in many photos and videos they have out) which made me kind of sad. Oh and by the way, the color pink tends to look a bit like copper or bronze in the dark, so be wary when buying concert t's.

today is lazy. it's 1:00pm and we're still at the house. we're gonna do a little shopping (ie model citizen) and meet up with a guy that wants to buy erin's ticket to vfest since she can't go anymore (i repeat, erin, i'm not mad/angry/?, only disappointed that i came all this way and didn't get to see you). and i think we are gonna try to eat at the drake tonight. good times.

tomorrow = first day of vfest = INTERPOL.

found out that they (vfest higher-ups) are supergay and put a lot of good bands at the same time (surprise, surprise). The only major decision thus far is THE KILLERS over SMASHING PUMPKINS. it wasn't all that hard since it's just a billy corgan show now . . . wow.

crazy nites in canada (almost famous) bullshit

greetings from Montreal.

it's been great so far.

well, besides the bus ride.

the supposed 24 hr bus ride turned into about 30 hrs instead. They raped me hard. Apparently with the holiday weekend and all they thought it was ok to over book all of the buses. When I was suppose to transfer in Memphis, TN they filled up the bus with people that just bought tickets, expecting me to just catch the next one. Fuck them. I was there for about an hour and then the next day I was stranded in the Cincinatti terminal for 5 or 6 hrs. I met a couple friends and we went and found breakfast at Arby's (it was ok, but not that great). I ended up arriving in Buffalo at 8:30pm instead of 3:30pm. With a total of 2 hrs of sleep. Which blew balls. Fucking cock soup man, fucking cock soup.

and from there real adventure begins. made it into toronto really late. but it was a nice drive. i got to enjoy the nice white IKEA couch at hkd's place.

we left on Sunday to go to the cottage (aka speedo country) at about 7am or so. oh and i got my first taste of Tim's. Awesome.

the cottage was great. it was so beautiful. there was great food, great beer, and great movies (we watched Blades of Glory on an impromptu bed sheet screen outside next to a fire). went cliff diving and swimming in some really cold water too. all in all it was extremely relaxing.

fyi, heather refuses to make up songs no matter how fucking hard you try. i played patzo's guitar next to the fire and sang, yet she would give me nothing.

we just made it into montreal, whose maps look like insane spiderwebs. not the easiest to navigate, but it was done. so tonite is party nite. proly won't be able to function properly tomorrow at all.
