kick in the litso
josh's little brother is doing better, last i heard; although, things could have changed because i haven't talked to his family is a couple of days, despite my efforts. a few days ago (wed. i think) he had his splein removed because its condition was actually worsening (the internal bleeding had begun to increase because of this instead of slacking off like expected). the surgery went fine, but his lungs were bruised from the wreck so they decided to put him on a respirator for a couple of days so that breathing wouldn't be quite so difficult. he was suppose to be off of it by friday or saturday but, like i said, i haven't talked to them in order to find out anything. tentatively, the plan was set for him to stay 4-5 more days in ICU after coming off the respirator and then transitioning into a regular room after that, possibly for another week, maybe more.

procrastination
you dream of tragedy and pain and sorrow.
you wake to find it true.
tears flowed from his mother's eyes, her baby boy in a swirling pool of morphine drenched light.
he lied there, semi-comatose, not remembering the day before.
and then at that exact moment, when the visitors began to leave, that is when you broke.
