Referred Question One would authorize $300 million dollars in bonds for water, sewer, flood control, irrigation and drainage projects.
money comes from private bonds so i'm definitely okay with this.
Proposed Constitutional Amendment One would give the legislature the power to determine who can be a voting official. The measure also would remove outdated language from the constitution.
seems good to me.
Proposed Constitutional Amendment Two would provide for annual sessions of the state legislature. Sessions in even-numbered years would be restricted to writing budgets for state agencies.
right now they meet every 2 years for 30 days. would be changed to once a year for 15 days. i'm for it so that issues can be resolved sooner that need to be taken care of. yes, they can call emergency hearings, but i've never (at least in my life time) heard of them actually doing it.
Proposed Constitutional Amendment Three would create a state lottery.... with revenue going toward college scholarships.
undecided, but leaning towards voting for it. my reluctance stems from potential economic hazards, especially toward families that might participate that have a low income, etc.
Initiated Act Number One would prohibit unmarried and cohabiting couples from adopting and fostering children.
this is bullshit. it should be fine as long as the same rules and regulations and still in effect when it comes to adopting in general. it's good and bad that it's such a pain to adopt a child but it's worth it to place children in good homes.
