i, too, resided in a pit of despondency and felt no one was with me; hell had came to earth. ironically, this fall turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. i was forced to confront parts of my life that i incesstantly avoided and eventually realized that god was in me, all along. i understand this might not ease the pain now, but i promise that hope resides in even the lowest valley.
