Take the thunder from the clouds

From the day you first open your eyes
To the last day when they close
You never learn to live life
until the day you learn to die.

Everything is new.
Everything is strange.
You’re not invincible.

Celebrate life
In all of its splendor
And hold it up
With highest regard.

Learn to love
Like no one’s ever known
Make your own crown of thorns.

Take the thunder from the clouds
And see what they have left:
A proud force
With a voice stolen
And a staunch world left unshaken
Derive the meaning of the void.

This doesn't read like your writing voice, don't know how else to describe it.

can you try?

as in not my normal poetry?
or not my normal voice for stories?

can you point out things?

worse than usual?

probably...
