a little change and a little new too

Sorry for the lack of posting. Got really tied up these past few days, but I can't help it. Anyway, this is what I've been up to:

1) Buying a new laptop (Toshiba). It's awesome. I'm broke, yet happy (as confusing as that is). Good news -- I've already got that paid off. I had that much saved up.

2) Buying a new (used) car. Got a '98 red Ford Mustang convertible (camel colored top). This actually stood against everything I've stood for these past few years as far as getting a car for me goes. I was determined to get something practical like another Accord or a Jeep or a Matrix. But enough people thought I should get this and now I'm really happy that I did. I just got a new top put on it this weekend because the old one was cracked and leaked a little where it attaches to the car. *auto top. Only other problems are that the CD player doesn't function at all (getting a new one soon, using IPOD for now) and the brand new spoiler that got put on it a couple months ago got scraped pretty good when it was getting put on. It has about 67,000 miles and I got it for $4500. My parents bought it outright for me and now I am paying them back slowly but steadily. So the hole of debt I have dug has gotten even deeper.

3) Getting a job. Basically, now I'm a file-clerk with a few extended responsibilities at the prosecuting attorney's office (aka office bitch, sad but true). It seemed to me that it could be a problem paying off a major debt when I didn't have a job besides a few commission things on the side, so this came along and it actually worked with my college schedule which is 8am-3pm Mon, Wed, and Fri, so basically I had to take it. The problem with it is that I am only going to be getting about 20hrs in once school starts. Although I can still do some of the small jobs on the side then too. But hey, beggers can't be choosers can they?

4) Getting an invite to move to St. Louis. Ben's little brother Joel invited me to come be his room-mate in 4-5 months due to the fact that his mother is moving. It sounds great to me. I'll be checking it out soon, like whether or not I can find a college that will take trasfer credits from an Arkansas college. If I can find one, I plan on moving atleast after 2nd semester because I have all of my school paid for here and actually saving money sounds great right now.

5) Making plans to go see Starsailor on September 16 in Nashville. From there I will most likely go to St. Louis to see Joel. The US release of their new album is August 22. I can't wait.

Yeah I know. And I gave him directions before that. He just doesn't have any common sense about him or a sense of direction.

Ashley, Charlotte, Wes and I met at T & T's Deli for lunch before they all went hours away (ok Wes is like 45 min, but you get the gist) to Fayettville.

his lack of common sense is what makes him so....yeah, you know what i mean.
you can't help but love him.

I used to drive a Mustang; I loved it. And moving to St. Louis sounds like a fun adventure for you.

That really sucks about Wes. How's he doing?

I suggest the matrix or something like that because it has the room of a small suv like you want but better gas mileage. Or there's always the other brands' versions too, the matrix is just my favorite.q
