'lint'-tastic

This week my church has implemented a "mini-lent" (even though apostolics/pentecostals don't honor this "holiday" or what ever it should be referenced as) and my father has decided that we have to go along with it.

Needless to say, I'm having a blast.

We got a sheet from our pastor telling us what we have to give up and on what day. Most of them aren't that bad because many don't apply to me, i.e. I don't like a lot of sweets and I don't wear a lot of smells. But it's not like I'm really abiding by them in the first place.

It's one of those what they don't know won't hurt them type of scenarios.

Without furthur adieu here's the list:

Monday: Media (T.V., Radio, CDs, DVDs, Newspaper, etc.)

Tuesday: Favorite Food

Wednesday: Fast All Foods (Consume Only Liquids)

Thursday: Favorite Beverage

Friday: Outward Anointing or Adorning (Perfume, Jewelry, Cologne, Ornaments, etc)

Saturday: One Hour of Work (No Work to be Done During the Hour; Spend Time with Family and Friends) -- No Problem.

Sunday: One Hour Dedicated to the Lord's Service at HIS House

This mini-Lent almost seems worse than the regular Lent.
